TRAFFIC NOTICE

There are two ongoing construction projects in the region that could impact travel to prime eclipse viewing sites. Click on the icons below for more information

Howard Avenue

The intersection of Howard Avenue and Middle Side Road in Amherstburg will be temporarily closed for a construction project spanning nine months. During this period, a designated detour route will be in place, directing traffic from County Road 8 to County Road 11 and finally to County Road 18.

We kindly remind all motorists to prioritize safety by adhering to posted speed limits and driving cautiously. Please plan your travels accordingly, considering the additional time required to reach your destinations.

County Road 50

The County of Essex and the Town of Essex are working together to improve traffic flow to businesses affected by the construction-related closure of County Road 50 in Colchester which impacts travel into the wine region from Howard Avenue and Walker Road in Windsor. There is a poster detour route as well as alternate routes for ease of use during construction.

This will also impact connectivity between wineries by vehicle and by bike during this time. All businesses remain open during construction.

Purchase Your EPIC Digital Wine Tasting Pass

Explore EPIC Wine Country with three different Tasting Pass Options. All passes include 4 x 1 oz tastings at six participating wineries.

EPIC Wine Country Tasting Pass is available for purchase year round and is valid for 6 months after the date of purchase. Pass expires 30 days after first redemption.
EPIC Summer Tasting Pass is available for purchase July 1st – September 15th only. Pass expires September 30th. Redemptions may be used Monday – Thursday only.
EPIC Harvest Tasting Pass is available for purchase October 1st – December 31st. Pass expires December 31st.
